Sports Day

After a very busy and exciting summer term, Caister Academy’s annual sports day is a fantastic way to celebrate sporting endeavour and teamwork. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in a range of both individual and team athletic events. Sports day gives both pupils and teachers the chance to recognise and celebrate the excellent sporting values upheld at Caister Academy. The day is the final house event of the year and culminates in the awarding of the house cup to the winning house team.

Sport Awards Evening

The annual award evening aims to celebrate the sporting success made by Caister High School pupils both in and outside of school. This year the school recognised the sporting achievement made by pupils in a wide and varied range of sports. Whilst pupils continue to achieve success in the more traditional team activities such as Football and Netball, the evening was also a chance to celebrate Caister pupil’s success in individual events such as cross county and athletics as well as sports undertaken outside of the school such as swimming. Several Caister High pupils continue to see success at district, county and even national level in these sports.

Sports Festival

This year, we are proud to be running a YR6 sports festival!  The festival is aimed at year 6 students from Caister Junior and other feeder schools and has been designed to aid the transition from junior to secondary school.  The festival is a fun, practical event designed to increase pupil confidence and alleviate anxiety associated with the transition to high school.

The festival will take place on Monday 15th June and will consist of taster sessions in a number of sports including netball, football, trampoline, OAA, aerobics and more.  Each session will be led by Caister Academy PE staff, giving students a chance to familiarise themselves with our staff, school and equipment.  Young sports leaders will assist staff during the day to ensure a jam packed day of fun!
